  • Option 1 is designed for a divorcing couple who does NOT have any children with their spouse under the age of 18 (and none are expected) AND there is NO real property (including land, owning a home, or currently purchasing your home). This option includes a general instruction letter outlining the steps you will need to take from your initial filing to finalizing your divorce in Texas.

To take advantage of a DRAFT ONLY –  OPTION, you and your spouse MUST agree on all terms of your divorce.  Including, but not limited to, the following:

  • how you are going to divide the property between yourselves
  • what will happen with the house you are buying
  • how you are going to divide any retirement plans (IRA’s & 401Ks)
  • how you are going to divide any bank accounts
  • who will be responsible for what debts you owe
  • who will the child(ren) primarily reside with
  • any limitations on where the child(ren) reside
  • who will pay child support and how much

If your spouse is unwilling to sign a Waiver of Service, then the Law Office of Shannon M. Sears, P.C. considers this to a contested divorce case and a flat rate option is NOT appropriate for you.


 

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

  1. All documents will be drafted based on the information provided to the Law Office of Shannon M. Sears, P.C., on the date of signing.
  2. NO INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION will be performed by Law Office of Shannon M. Sears, P.C. to verify the accuracy of information provided.
  3. Only one (1) revision to your documents will be made free of charge after the documents are drafted.  Any further revisions will be billed to you at an hourly rate.
  4. If you and your spouse cease to agree on ANY term of the divorce, the flat fee paid up front to the Law Office of Shannon M. Sears, P.C. is non-refundable.
